Description
This is one of the major components of the
western road network and connecting two
important city namely Jeddah & Makkah.
The project scope includes the aligment
studies for the main road and the
preliminary / final design studies in addition
to the preparation of the project tender
documents.The main expressway comprises
of 80 km. / 4 lane dual carriageway and the
8 grade seperated I/C.s serving the nearby
settlements. It include about 14 road
crossing bridges; 3 wadi bridges, 3 vehcular
crossing; and 4 camel crossings. This also
comprises the detailed design of the
required drainage works and flood
protection measures to protect the road
alignment against regional flash floods.
